Titanium Seamless Tubing consists of 99.2% pure titanium with trace amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and iron. The most widely employed grade is Titanium Grade 2. It has excellent corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and good weldability. Some of its mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 344 MPa (50,000 psi), yield strength of 275 MPa (40,000 psi), and elongation of about 20%. Its low density of 4.51 g/cm³ and high melting point of greater than 1660°C make it suitable for applications that need strength, endurance, and thermal resistance.
