Over 99% pure titanium (Grades 2 or 5) makes up the majority of titanium boiler tubing, with alloy grades containing trace amounts of aluminium (~6%) and vanadium (~4%). These tubes have low density (~4.5 g/cm³), elongation (~20–30%), yield strength (~275–880 MPa), and tensile strength (~345–950 MPa).
