Super Duplex Steel Instrumentation Tubing consists mainly of a well-balanced combination of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, consisting of 22-25% chromium, 4-6% nickel, 3-5% molybdenum, along with trace amounts of nitrogen and manganese. This alloy exhibits good corrosion resistance and strength. Mechanically, it has tensile strength of approximately 850-950 MPa and yield strength close to 550-700 MPa, along with good ductility and toughness. Its duplex microstructure also offers better stress corrosion cracking and pitting resistance against chlorides than typical stainless steels.
