Super Duplex Steel Coil Tubing consists mainly of about 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and trace amounts of nitrogen that contribute to increased strength and corrosion resistance. The alloy has the best properties of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, providing exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It has high tensile strength (about 750-850 MPa) and excellent toughness at low temperatures mechanically. The balanced microstructure of the tubing guarantees high durability and excellent resistance to the chloride environment, and hence it is well suited for high-demanding industrial applications.
