These pipes can be hardened through heat treatment, achieving impressive tensile strengths ranging from 760 to 1000 MPa and a yield strength of about 450 MPa. They boast excellent hardness (up to 58 HRC), wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance when hardened. While they may not be as weldable or ductile as lower-carbon grades, 440C excels in providing superior strength and durability in demanding mechanical environments.
