Stabilised austenitic stainless steels with chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), and columbium/tantalum for stabilisation are known as stainless steel 347 and 347H electropolished pipes. Higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) in 347H improves creep resistance and high-temperature strength. Tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% are examples of mechanical properties.
