Stainless Steel 316H Tubing has high chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), and added molybdenum (2–3%) content for enhanced corrosion resistance. Its carbon level (0.04–0.10%) is ideal for high-temperature uses. The tubing has a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa, with a good elongation of 35–40%. It is resistant to structural failure at high temperatures and has good creep resistance. The alloy is not magnetic in the annealed state and is excellent to weld, and thus suitable for severe environments like chemical and petrochemical industries.
