Stainless steel 310H is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy that contains about 25% chromium, 20% nickel, and a carbon content of up to 0.04%, along with minute traces of manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. It possesses a tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. Its strength at elevated temperatures increases due to the high carbon content, and surface finish and corrosion resistance are enhanced by electropolishing. These characteristics render 310H electropolished pipes extremely tough and suitable for applications in high-temperature as well as hygienic industries.
