304H Electropolished Pipes of stainless steel contain mostly chromium (18–20%) and nickel (8–10.5%), with higher carbon levels (0.04–0.10%) that increase high-temperature strength. Minor components are manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and iron. The mechanical attributes are a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and excellent elongation (minimum 40%). The pipes provide improved creep resistance, superior resistance to corrosion, and weldability. Electropolishing also enhances surface finish, cleanliness, and resistance to bacterial growth, and thus is used in precision-critical and sanitary service.
