SMO 254 Pipes are produced from a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with about 20% chromium, 18% nickel, 6% molybdenum, and 0.2% nitrogen. The chemical structure provides superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Mechanically, these pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 650 MPa, a yield strength of 300 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 35%. Having high impact toughness even at sub-zero temperatures and good weldability, SMO 254 Pipes are designed to hold up to severe service conditions in highly critical applications.
