The common chemical composition contains carbon (0.2% maximum), manganese (1.4% maximum), sulfur (0.05% maximum), and phosphorus (0.05% maximum). Some of the mechanical properties are tensile strength of approximately 330–480 MPa and yield strength of 195–235 MPa based on grade and thickness.
