Carbon Steel BS3059-2 Pipes consist largely of carbon (up to 0.30%), manganese (0.30–1.20%), and controlled amounts of silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. These pipes provide good mechanical strength with a tensile strength of 360–500 MPa, minimum yield strength of 235 MPa, and elongation of normally more than 20%, depending upon the grade. They have good weldability, formability, and pressure resistance, making them appropriate for high-temperature services. These are designed in accordance with BS3059 Part 2 specifications, which provides reliability and durability in harsh operational conditions.
