ASTM A53 Gr A Seamless Pipes are produced mostly from carbon steel with trace amounts of elements such as manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and copper. The standard chemical contents are: Carbon ≤ 0.25%, Manganese 0.95%, Phosphorus ≤ 0.05%, Sulfur ≤ 0.045%. Such pipes have good mechanical strength with a yield strength of at least 205 MPa and tensile strength of 330 MPa. They also possess good elongation characteristics and fair hardness, which makes them suitable for welding and forming.
