ASTM A335 Gr P91 Seamless Pipes are alloy steel pipes consisting mainly of Chromium (8-9.5%) and Molybdenum (0.85-1.05%) with minor additions of elements such as Carbon, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sulfur, Silicon, Vanadium, and Nitrogen. These all improve high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and corrosion resistance. The mechanical properties are minimum tensile strength of 585 MPa, minimum yield strength of 415 MPa, and very good hardness and elongation. The microstructure is usually tempered martensite, providing better thermal stability and strength, thus making them applicable in extreme pressure and temperature environments.
