Aluminium 2024 Pipes are mainly made up of aluminium (the balance), along with 3.8–4.9% copper, 1.2–1.8% magnesium, and 0.3–0.9% manganese, plus small amounts of silicon, iron, zinc, and chromium. This alloy is heat-treatable and is recognized for its high strength and fatigue resistance. It boasts a tensile strength ranging from 400 to 490 MPa, a yield strength of about 270 to 325 MPa, and an elongation of 10 to 20%, depending on the temper (usually T3 or T6).
