Stainless Steel 317L Pipes are made up of about 18–20% Chromium, 11–15% Nickel, 3–4% Molybdenum, and a maximum of 0.03% Carbon, along with trace amounts of Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, and Sulfur. The lower carbon content improves weldability and reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding. This alloy boasts a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 35%. 317L is known for its exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attacks, making it perfect for harsh environments, especially those involving acidic and chloride-rich conditions.
