Welded Tubing Stainless Steel 316H is a high-carbon variant of stainless steel 316, which is mostly made up of iron, 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and 0.04–0.10% carbon. The additional carbon increases the high-temperature strength and creep resistance. It has very good mechanical properties like tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% in 50mm. These are accompanied by very good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, thereby making 316H tubing a choice material for harsh thermal and mechanical industrial conditions.
